  • KulturPark – Košice on Kukučínova street is one of the key investment objectives of the project Interface 2013 and dominating the scene for a program line of live laboratory cultures.
  • The new multi-genre creative neighborhood cultural center is to provide a space for creation and presentation of the finest of contemporary culture and art, music, visual arts, literature, film, theater and dance. It will be a new model of cultural institutions in the city and umeleckospoločenské new spaces for interaction between visitors and progressive tendencies in art and creativity.

The new creative quarter

  • The multi-genre cultural center is to provide a space for creation and presentation of the finest of contemporary culture and art, music, visual arts, literature, film, theater and dance.   • One of the key investment objectives of the project Košice – European Capital of Culture 2013 is the conversion of the former barracks in depots Kukučínova Street into a cultural center for the town meeting, creating, combining and presenting various genres of modern art. The complex of buildings built in the late 19th century is set in the historic Chestnut Park. Park will serve Košice for relaxation, leisure-time activities of children and also as a summer theater.
  • Kulturpark area will form the 3 main objects central cultural facility, public gallery and creative incubator. Objects will offer exhibit space, theater studio, a space designated for exchanges of artists, studios, creative studios and laboratories. Multifunctional urban exhibition and convention facilities offer variable use in relation to other site features.
